SILICONES
Our silicones offer a wide range of working temperatures and are resistant to weathering and wear. They are an excellent adhesive as well as for electrical insulation. Once cured, our silicone retains its flexibility; It is also capable of filling large cavities, which is why it can be applied in watertight joints.
This is RTV silicone (Room Temperature Vulcanization): silicone rubbers that need a vulcanization environment temperature. Silicone rubbers are formed from the mixture of polymeric masses with the addition of a suitable catalyst that can be vulcanized (rubber formation process) at a high temperature (HTV - High Temperature Vulcanization) and Room Temperature vulcanization (RTV).
The condensation-curing silicone products cure when exposed to moisture from the ambient temperature environment. The formation of the adhesive (polymer) is produced by chemical poly-condensation with environmental humidity. When formed by poly-condensation, said reaction emits certain volatile compounds during the curing process, which depend on the reactive monomers that the adhesive is made-up of. In this way, we have:
- Acetic Silicones: release acetic acid during the curing process emitting a characteristic vinegar odor.
- Alkoxy Silicones: release acetic acid during the curing process.
- Amino Silicones: release amines (chemical compounds considered to be derived from ammonia) during the curing process.
- Oxymic Silicones: give off oximes (condensation of hydroxylamine with aldehyde) during the curing process.
The innumerable fields of application range from Automobiles (crankcase, transmission, etc.), the refrigeration industry, shipping, caravans, tractors, engines, the electrical industry, turbines, nuclear power plants, machinery, gears, mining, the chemical and petrochemical industry, gas services, water and electricity...
Adhesives
MS Polymers. At present, modified silanes are displacing polyurethane adhesives due to occupational safety reasons (they do not contain isocyanates) as well as due to their extraordinary resistance to ultraviolet rays and their ease of application and adhesion on a wide range of materials.
MS polymer elastic sealant adhesive is specially formulated for the gluing and sealing of assemblies and joints in: the stone sector, automotive, industrial and refrigerated bodywork, caravanning, container manufacturing, wagons, silos and screens, air conditioning installations, metal constructions, etc.
Excellent adhesion without need of primer on marble, granite, metals (aluminum, iron, steel, galvanized sheet, copper, zinc, etc.), wood, PVC and other plastics. Paintable with most "wet on wet" paints. It is not corrosive. It is free of silicones, isocyanates and solvents. Permanent elasticity. Absorbs impacts and vibrations.
Glazing MS Polymer. The innovative technology of MS polymers (modified silane polymers) combines the advantages of different adhesives and sealants such as polyurethane, silicone, acrylate and rubber bitumen in a single product. It does not contain silicones or halogens. It is compatible with the environment and does not contain isocyanates or solvents
Excellent adhesion properties, even without an adhesion activator. It does not shrink, it resists vibrations, neutral cross-linking. It can be painted immediately with wet-on-wet acrylate and dispersion paints. Resists aging and UV radiation.
Mounting adhesive. The new generation of assembly adhesives has a very high initial adhesion capacity. Bonding of heavy parts in vertical places and assembly in slabs. Unlike other conventional adhesives it is possible to adhere heavy weight pieces such as stones, wood, tiles and metals to walls and slabs, without them sliding or yielding. Among its characteristics, it is worth noting, of course, its light odor during its immediate initial adherence. Also the resistance to weathering, UV radiation, water, chlorine, etc. Simple, fast and economic. It does not contain isocyanates or silicone. It can be varnished and painted. It is of universal use and has durable elasticity.
Hermetic Sealant of Red Joints. Permanent plasticity. It is a high-strength red adhesion sealer with a polyurethane base. Due to its excellent thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance it is an ideal compound for demanding seals.
It is resistant to all mineral oils and a wide variety of synthetic oils, to lubricants, fuels, additives, air, gas, water and mixtures made of antifreeze and water.
